Up and coming events;

BINGO NIGHT

Back by popular demand - following the huge success of our Bingo night in February, we will be holding a second night of Bingo in November. Please note that numbers are limited and tickets must be purchased in advance.

WHERE? Coronation Hall, Bleadon, North Somerset
WHEN? Saturday 12 November 2011, 7pm start
HOW MUCH? Tickets will be £10 per person, to include two games of bingo, nibbles and dinner (chilli or chessey jacket potato with side salad; fruit crumble with custard)
WHAT DO I WIN? Fun prizes, from chocolates to alcohol and toiletries.
CAN ANYONE COME? Yes - all are most welcome!
DO I NEED TO BRING ANY EXTRA MONEY ON THE NIGHT? Yes, for the raffle and to buy drinks. We will also be having 4 special rounds throughout the evening - for 4 other local charities - for which you can buy as many extra game cards for £1 each as you like!
HOW DO I BOOK? Tickets must be purchased in advance from Bleadon Stores, or please email us, or ring on 0794 1523 197.
We can arrange free lifts to and from the event for those who live in Bleadon and who otherwise couldn't come - let us know when booking if you need one!

INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE ELIMINATION OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

We will be placing 104 shirts and T-shirts in Weston-super-Mare town centre to symbolise the average number of female lives lost a year in England and Wales as a result of domestic abuse.

The International day for the elimination of violence against women is celebrated each November, a United Nations initiative, which will be marked by the Women's Project, this year on 23 November 2011.

There will be other agencies supporting the Women's Project on the day with material available to supporters and also those who wish to know more about the elimination of violence against women and support services available in the local area. Other local agencies who will be supporting the event include the Independent Domestic Abuse Forum (IDAF), the SEEDS Project and North Somerset Against Domestic Abuse (NADA).

Information will be available in town and also from The Imperial Brasserie on South Parade where there will be a chance for people to get in from the cold and talk to support services to learn more about the help available to people who are affected by Domestic Abuse in North Somerset.

Events for the Future

Ladies Pamper evening...we are planning to hold a ladies pamper evening in the run up to Valentine's Day 2012...go on spoil yourselves!

We have previously supported someone running the Cardiff Half Marathon and Committee Members who have taken part in the Bristol 10km Run. We are able to offer support and fundraising packs to anyone who would like to help support our organisation, however big or small your efforts may be, we greatly appreciate your help!
